...crows curlews.

A family of bush stone curlews, momma, poppa and junior.
Apart from very knobbly knees and a hissing warning noise, when disturbed they freeze like statues mimicking their environment.
Here, the parents are lying on the ground like the fallen bark surrounding them.
Junior, still on L plates apparently, has still to get the hang of this 'statues business'.
