Aurora Glow over Mackenzie Country

Yes! Optomist and I did get to see stars very late last night after all and the glow that we could see on the horizon was the intense solar flare that's been going on out in Space the last wee while. How lucky! Such a treat to see it, however faint it may be at this latitude, reflected up onto the clouds. It was really thrilling!! We were on the hills above Lake Alexandrina . . . . .

Thank you, again, for another fantastic response, to yesterday's Norwest Arch over Tekapo - what a wonderful bunch you all are. I can't believe that I've had two images at No.1 on Spotlight, two days running! What a treat that is.
