Glasgow Green

Super weather today, amazing that it is lasting so long.

Girls outing...... we took the train into Glasgow, and had a meal in Di Maggio's Italian, complete with wine of course; then walked over to Glasgow Green for 'Proms in the Park'. On the way we passed 'Clyde' still on the Green, left over from the Commonwealth Games, and of course we had to have our picture taken with him!

The Proms were great;The soloists were Katherine Jenkins and Noah Stewart, an American tenor, and also Robyn Stapleton, a young traditional singer from Stranraer, who was really a delight. Also the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, and of course lots of community singing at the link up with the Albert Hall. It was a great night, even if we had to carry our own seats!
