Purpose

When talking about the meaning of life and the purpose of mankind in general, my friend once told me:
"It's kind of like a flower. To us, it has no real purpose. It's alive and then withers away. But when one looks at it, it's beautiful. That is it's purpose: to be beautiful. It needs to do nothing more than just that. And humans. We were created to be beautiful. Like the flower. We are complex. We live, and we wither away. But we frequently ask why? What's the purpose of it all if it matters no more once we leave this earth? But you look at the blossoming lives of each human, and it's beautiful. Life, and all of its bits and pieces, is beautiful."

Not only is this absolutely true, but we are more than beautifully complex creatures. We are part of an infinite art piece. Human life is raw and individually authenticated like any good piece of art work. And even more than that, we are sculpted under one Artist. Any artist can paint the same picture a thousand times, but not one of the pieces will be the same. He will pour out his thoughts, feelings and emotions in each piece, intentionally and unintentionally; thus, a complex and completely diverse art portfolio. This is the universe and all of the creatures inhabiting it under the impression of The Creator. The Artist. The One who fashioned it all together solely for it to be beautiful. Something to marvel at. Something to ponder and question its existence. Something that brings us back to square one when our thoughts are racing frantically over the purpose of it all: to be beautiful.
