Day 2

After breakfast and a chat with our host Marilyn, we headed off into Halifax. Had a long walk along the water front, visited the farmers market where i met another potter and we chatted about the business! i also bought one of her mugs! Lunch at the market, then off to meet Randy again. Driving in the city is such a drag.....trying to find parking is totally insane....it just never happens in Sydney!!! anyhoo, had a long walk around Citadel Hill where you can take in a wonderful view of Halifax! Then onto the fabulous Public gardens. i went crazy photographing the amazing dahlia garden....lots of inspiration for future paintings. This water fountain is also something i'd like to attempt to paint.

Felt a bit out of sorts early evening so we headed out for dinner on the Dartmouth side, not so congested and busy. It was a challenge trying to find somewhere to eat. Finally ended up in a rather sketchy looking place called Staggers! we were the only customers! the food was just fine, the guy running the place was great, and so it turned out to be the perfect quiet place to have dinner.
