What's in a name?

Look for the logo! I bought these washing capsules when we were on holiday in France. Recognised the brand straight away, even by a different name, though I notice, it seems that French buyers are more concerned about their stubborn stains than the detergent's skin-friendly qualities.

I dedicate this blip to the memory of a lovely American friend, Skip, who recently reached the end of his life in the real world along with the digital world. He would have been amused to learn that his name was French for Persil! Cyber-sadness over someone you feel you know well, yet you've never actually met is a strange kind of bereavement; a new experience for users of internet social sites, though I suppose it would be akin to losing a penfriend back in the day.
