SPOTTED IN A STREET IN OSLO # 76 KATTI

This is an unusual tribute to Katti Anker Møller ( 1868- 1945).
She was a brave woman that was fighting for women's rights when women in Norway had few rights. She created a home for unwed mothers and their children and started the first mothers hygiene offices in Oslo, and improved the midwifery education.

Her mother got 10 children and was constantly worried to get pregnant. She died 50 years old. Katti thought therefore that motherhood was the most important role for women, but every women should get education in prevention and the right to take abortion.

She said: Everything I have done, I have done to honor my mother.

It's nice to see that young people remember Katti Anker Møller!
