The Ring

Our first sighting on The Finger. #2 and Ch became engaged in Singapore about a month ago, and this was the first time we'd seen them together since their return to the UK last week. Thrilled for them both, exciting times.

Taken in haste, just before heading out for dinner. I'll have another go in better light. A vintage ring which #2 sourced in the US and secretly took out East to surprise her in mid August.

Delicious meal at a Cantonese restaurant, glad we booked, it was full. Prawns, Squid, Imperial Duck, Roast Pork, Mashed Prawns, Chicken in Lettuce Leaves, with lots of Chinese tea. Learnt to leave the lid off the pot at the edge of the table, and then it is instantly refilled.

A wander up to Glasgow School of Art before heading home. It is now covered in a complex scaffolding as renovations begin. That is a work of art in itself.
