Quod oculus meus videt

Finally, A Sunrise

The weather forecasted it, so I headed out to Cannock Chase while it was still dark. It was cooler than of late, some mist was forming in low areas.

It was a glorious morning. As I drove up onto the Chase I constantly had to slow as rabbits crossed and re-crossed the roads. Fallow deer were in abundance, I watched a sparrow hawk quartering a section of heather and then realised it was looking for pheasant as I came across a hen and her chicks.

After so many days of mist and cloud it was great to enjoy a bright, autumn morning.
