Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Last Day of Summer

It’s hot. (well, 80F) It’s Sunday. Not everyone is watching the Seahawks eek out a win over the Denver Broncos. By tomorrow night it will be “Fall” and the weather is supposed to change.
I did think about the big events held in many cities around the world today reflecting the climate change summit at the UN this week. There was a gathering downtown in Seattle that I have heard little about. But I suspect there were more outside just enjoying the summer weather… many canoes, kayaks, rowboats, inner tubes, sailboats, paddle boards on Lake Union today but all in all … the motor boats using fossil fuels outnumbered them all…..!

I don't mean this to sound negative . Seeing photos of the 310,000 at the march in NYC and the huge events in London and around the world are heartening-and Seattle is certainly doing it's part - it's just such a huge immediate problem.....
