Equinox sunset

Another fabulous day.

I spent the morning photographing an artist friend's work, then spent the afternoon in the garden, hedge clipping, and pruning shrubs. I took out all the lower branches of the large and dense twisted hazel and it has opened up the garden beautifully.
Great to have the energy for it again.

This evening I set off to the Bantry area to find a clear view west to see the equinox sunset. I found a lovely little cove just beyond Bantry airfield but just as I got there the golden sun sank into a bank of cloud not to be seen again. So this is a view a bit north of west looking across Bantry Bay and Whiddy Island to the Beara peninsular and Hungry Hill cloaked in mist.
