Kate O'Callaghan

The weather closed right in today and we left Inishbofin in drizzle and thick clag. It made the parting easier in a way. We have decamped to Clifden for a day at the Arts Festival which is going on here all week. We caught Kate O'Callaghan and Seamus Devenny playing a gig at lunchtime. I was actually bummed that we missed them the other evening while we were offshore but by chance they were playing again today. Their music was completely wonderful. I was entranced by Kate's songs and their unique sound.

The weather brightened up a bit in the afternoon for a short explore of the area here but I'm afraid to say we wimped out on the swimming. The wind has got up and the temperature has dropped.

We are now out for some food and some more music. It's a very lively scene here. And, just quickly, thanks for all the love for Inishbofin. Stick it on your bucket list!
