Remembering Martin Sharp

Michael and I wandered around the city today, checking out some of the Art and About exhibits.
In the St James walkway in Hyde Park there are large banners of the finalists in the Australian Life photography competition.

This photo was taken at the memorial service for Martin Sharp, who died nearly a year ago.
If you look carefully you can see many members of the Sydney art scene, literati and glitterati.
The photographer, Jon Lewis, has obviously amused the congregation, and got just about everybody to look into the lens, which was no mean feat.
I seem to remember the service was at Christ Church St Lawrence on Broadway.

Anyway, I was most taken with the fact that people were queuing up to have their photo taken as though they were part of the congregation.
There was a nice little wall, just the right height, to help them out.
Worth seeing large, I think.

I think Martin Sharp would have just loved this:)
