imprints

Everyone loves agaves for the structure and symmetry they bring to landscapes and containers. Most gardeners are aware of the imprints the other leaves mark on each leaf as the rosette unfurls leaves from the central growing point.

The photo was taken in poor unnatural light, so it is not a good as hoped. This particular Agave montana lives in my windowsill looking out on hardier species of Agaves.
