Edinburgh

Another brilliant day. We enjoyed being tourists on the open top bus but didn't have a tram ride. We then climbed the many steps to the Castle where T's Canadian-born Niece works, also a blipper onesmallplanet. Sadly we missed meeting up with her today as she was at a wedding! We also missed a meet up with Lady Findhorn as she and HL were away in Perth. However, we spent a long time in the magnificent Castle, took tea in the the Castle Tea Rooms and then had a walk down the Royal mile and Princes Street. So much more to see and do in this wonderful City so a return trip is a must.

We took a bit of a detour back to Peebles so that I could see the Forth Rail Bridge again. The last time I went over it was in a steam train in the late 40's with Mum to go and stay with Granny in Rosemount, Blairgowrie. I thought it was a huge adventure travelling on the sleeper train all the way from Gloucestershire to Coupar Angus!!
