Casa Amiga

This cafe has been around since the summer, but I hadn't noticed it until today. Perhaps it had something to do with the quite unseasonal warmth we've been having, which has had people sitting out on Leith Walk, retrieving their summer clothes from their wardrobes, and generally enjoying the sunshine.

This looks quite mediterranean, doesn't it? But actually, it's just another one of my #leithwalkshops.

An interesting work day, which was punctuated with some aggravation over the delivery of a parcel, but which concluded with a lecture on EU law and dinner thereafter in the Raeburn Room. And that little talk on the Raeburns I've heard a few times before. The version of it that doesn't allege that Principal Robertson was the last Principal of the University to face torture. Yes, seriously, there is one variant of that little homily, delivered by a different person to the one who was in charge this evening, that does make this claim. I must check it up some time.

Update. I got it all mixed up. It was Principal Carstares, after whom one of the other formal rooms in the University is named, who was tortured, not Principal Robertson. I really should pay more attention.
