Quince

Is this not a splendid quince?! This year I am determined to waste none of the seven fruit we have on our tree. Last year I let them sit for too long and they rotted from the inside...

A friend gave us another seven the other day - windfalls which his neighbour was throwing away, oh horror! I roasted one last night with a little brown sugar. Pretty lovely.

I'm writing a conference paper - not before time. Towel-round-head-time. Though if truth be told it's not so bad - largely a question of extracting material from other pieces I've written and putting them back together again in a way which suits the purpose. Still takes ages!
