Funky Fungi

Today was so warm and sunny again. Had my last local walk with one of my closest friends and her dog. Both our hounds are getting on so we took it slowly but Brams kept going ahead she was in a very bouncy mood!


I spied this beautiful fungi at eye level on this silver birch tree. It was such a surprise to see it in such a high position! It looked like it had emerged from the egg casing below :-) it was not like the normal bracket fungus that grows on trees, I think a spore must have been dropped here by a bird maybe :-/


Brambie managed to sneak into my picture too, the little sweetie :-)
