NIGHT ADVENTURES.......

..... our local Penrith City Council have really got their act together in a number of ways over the last few years! One is the arranging in the school holidays of Nature walks in the local parks and reserves. Sounding interesting so booked in to go tonight.

They were well organised with a chat for the kids to start on what we may expect to "hopefully" spot!

Set out as they explained best for them to do the spotting with their "red lights" so as not to disturb anything we may come across.

After two hours of walking on what was a wonderful night in regards weather, we spotted absolutely zip of any worth!

Best we spotted was what is probably a possum about 100 metres away - with the red light making its eyes "beam" out.

Sorry the pics are garbage, but suppose they tell a story for today in my journal!! And the kids along had a good fun time, with the Council supplying hot chocolate and marsh mellows at the finish....

What I have found however is another area to check out during the day for some other bird life???

Enjoy your day, and okay have a look in LARGE if you think you know the variety!!?? lol.

.... oh and we had the pleasure of checking out the Wombat Trakka today as Walking Wombat called in on her way back up the mountains.
Thanks WW that is some awesome machine!
