Saturday 4 November 2006: The party's over.....
That it - it's officially winter. The ferry has closed for the season. This was a year of high drama for the ferry, the owner decided he wanted to pack it in, so we've had a year of 'it's on' it's off'. The end result is that the ferry did have a successful season despite some technical problems early on.
Well for us it's back to the beach for mussels. Tonight we'll mainly be eating mussels with leeks in a cream sauce and fancy rice with a cheeky wee bottle of plonk. It's so hard sometimes.
