Welcome October

Spent today at Harlow Carr, particularly struck by the grasses and rudbeckias which are really coming into their own. The sun came out a bit too. As we left the arboretum my friend spotted a newt in the undergrowth. We scurried forward to see it properly but it was gone. Then this frog hopped making us jump. He then sat and posed.

Out for birthday drinks tonight, hopefully a cure for the stupid tickly cough that has appeared today.
