Waiting For The Phone To Ring

All afternoon yesterday and still waiting all day today.

We have chosen a suitable date for my aunt's funeral.
The Undertaker is available.
The Minister is available.
The Family is available.

It was her express wish that the service be held in the chapel at her residential home but the relevant organiser is not answering the phone to take the booking. It is unlikely that it would not be free and the home promised to ring as soon as the arrangement is confirmed.

But we can't make our travel and accommodation arrangements, which are complicated enough with a seven-week-old baby to consider, nor for the cats to be cared for.

So we're in limbo, waiting for the phone to ring.
