BethaBlip 94...

This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I take the same photo in the same place each 1st and 15th of each month along with a wee diary of what has happened and how life has progressed for each of them. Bethany on the 1st and Ewan on the 15th. It is quite remarkable and is accentuated by the 1 year ago thumbnail down in the bottom right.

Bethany’s friend from next-door has decided to join the Athletics club. Apparently she did it just in time as they are full up with membership now. It’s quite good that she has a close friend there now as it does seem very disorganised and not terribly conducive to making friends easily.

There’s been a bit of disillusionment with Brownies this month. Partly because of the amount of active badging and camps that Ewan gets out of Beavers and a girl who goes to another Brownie troop who has started doing badges. Apparently Bethany’s Brownie leaders aren’t licensed to do overnight camping stuff and they don’t seem to be very active in doing badges. We did look into whether Ewan’s Cub troop had spaces but they’re full up.

I’ve christened it the Ballistic Bakery. Bethany has been going off piste with her baking again. She managed to bake a cake the other day that defies all sorts of pretty decent stress tests. The fact that it survived being intentionally driven over. This picture is tonight effort which although, looked the part, I don't think anyone over the age of 7 tried.

Bethany had an interesting homework assignment this month. She had to build a boat which they were going to and did float on the boating pond in the park across from the school today. My only contribution was to suggest cork to aid buoyancy and a strong quicker drying glue than wood glue. Apparently, it floated okay and stayed upright. It looked brilliant, it had a pen on the deck and she built sheep to go in it. She told us today that it was called ‘Sheep Ahoy’… Brilliant name.
