Looks Good To Me

Plant Shopping

We made another trip to Cloud Mountain Nursery this afternoon, and came home with a few things for Hannah, our temporary gardener, to plant tomorrow:

3 sword ferns
1 black currant bush
1 heather
1 dwarf hydrangea

Although I'm not very interested in gardening, I enjoy the scenic drive out in the county, and I find the variety of plants at CM quite fascinating. Today we discovered a tea plant and an olive tree -- Arbequina olive is a small earthy green olive grown predominantly in Catalonia with a delicate, mild, smoky flavour, very popular as a table olive.

Those two items would need a sheltered location -- we're almost 49 degrees north of the equator, but we do have a wide range of microclimates, and we've seen a few healthy fig trees in town.
