Thanks for the encouragement yesterday. The prevailing message seemed to be that with time I'll come to love the Mac, though at the moment I'd like to take advantage of the shop's very generous returns policy.

Thanks also to the few commentators who suggested I shouldn't sleep easy in my bed any more. Always good to have a few pricks of conscience around.

I've invested in a crate of assorted apples, so expect fruit related blips for the next day or two while I master the two fingered gestures required to get the machine working.
