Waisted

A cool damp day, so some dopey wasps were about all the bug life to be seen on campus.

I think this is the Common Wasp and although most people find them an annoyance, up close they have as much character as the bees and the hoverflies.

I resisted the temptation to crop as I liked the natural vignetting effect brought on by the depth of field. And the leaf is pretty too.
