B.C. Koekkoek-Home. Kleve (Germany)

Barend Cornelis Koekkoek was by far the most applauded landscapist of his time and regarded as the founding father of Dutch romantic landscape painting.
His financial success allowed him to purchase a plot of land in downtown Kleve in 1842 and build a grand villa in italianate. From 1960 it became the municipal museum and in 1997 it was returned to its state as an artist's residence.

This blip is taken from the staircase in the middle of the house. If you walk the step you heel a bit to the inside of teh stairs.
