Falling

A glorious Autumn day but an appointment in the village prevented me from going with the Ladies on the early walk.

I did walk past the park though on my way home. There were squirrels and Jays rummaging through the fallen leaves from this lovely old tree. You can just see a squirrel at the bottom of it to the left. It seems to be ahead of all the others here in loosing it's leaves but it must be pretty ancient.

The park is named after the Ferrand's family who owned much of the land here and the St Ives Estate in the 19th century so I guess it could easily be over a hundred.
