ruffed grouse that hit our dining room window early this morning. It makes such a sickening thud....but it was early and neither of us had gone out to deal with the dead bird. Then Zoe was let out - and well, this is all that remains, plus a few other feathers strewn about! She's such a carnivore!

it's a glorious day here, just been for a lovely walk, earlier i made some tomato soup with some of the tomatoes in yesterdays blip.....we're hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner here for about 10 of us this evening! Terry is cooking the turkey, friends are bringing veggies and pies....and we'll have some veggies from the garden too!

In the meantime, the bathroom has to be cleaned :P
