Top of the Craigie

Got up bright and early this morning to go on a walk. We have a wee book of walks around the Glasgow area and chose this one by Barrhead.
We started at a small reservoir and climbed to the top of a volcanic plug known as the craigie. At the top is the remains of Duncarnock fort, obviously to much delight for LH. Being unusually prepared, we sat up here looking out over Glasgow and drinking tea we had brought with us.
Off home for bacon sandwiches and the Sunday paper.
