Village charity walk

What a fabulous sunny day for our village's inaugural charity walk! It was organised by the editors of our village magazine (of which I'm one) and was dedicated to the memory of a local resident whose land includes the village's highest point, which isn't normally open to the public.

His wife kindly agreed to allow us access for the walk, and it was wonderful to see so many people turn up! In all we raised £556 for the local hospice which is a fantastic achievement!

This photo is taken from the top of the hill. In the distance you can see Kinder Scout, which is the highest point of the Peak District, Derbyshire.

Hope you're all enjoying this glorious Autumn weather :-)
