Thursday 25 February 2010: The naughty step
As a tool of discipline, the naughty step is a slightly flawed concept.
Why?
Well, most naughty steps are at the bottom of flights of stairs which lead somewhere (in this case, Bella's bedroom and her bookshelf). Just when you think your child has finally stopped protesting their familial exclusion and you go to make up with them, you discover they've popped upstairs and grabbed something to help pass the time.
