Manchester library

Trained from York to Manchester today for an overnight stop. Stayed in the city centre so went for a wander after dinner and were impressed with the well lit buildings.

This Central Library was built between 1930 and 1934. It has been renovated and refurbished during the past 4 years, reopening 6 months ago. It is a stunning circular building, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to look inside.

The streets in the area are all being refurbished and are going to look good when finished.
