Rydal cave

Day Four at LPH. A change in the order of the week, John came out with us today. We set off for Grasmere but as we drove along Thirlmere the reflections were stunning so we made a diversion down to the edge of the lake. A breeze then developed which stopped the reflections but the light was good and we spent a while there.

We then continued on to Grasmere where again the reflections were superb and the light at times was stunning. Have a look at SueT's picture. We walked down one side and back, then up the hill to Rydal cave, with some great views over Rydal Water. John demonstrated wire wool spinning, which was great fun but I didn't managed to get any good pictures.

I used bracketed exposures for this shot of the cave entrance and combined four myself to create the best exposure overall.

Another great day with stunning scenery. Lots of fresh air and exercise this week.
