La Corbiere Lighthouse

A lovely day today. We took the bus to La Corbiere. At low tide you can walk out to the lighthouse, but we couldn't do it today. We had a coffee, then walked to St. Aubin along an old disused railway which had been turned into a walking and cycling lane. Very pleasant walk, and St. Aubin has a pleasant harbour. Had a nice lunch sitting overlooking the harbour, and then headed back to St. Helier.

The HG wanted to visit the Jersey Museum, and I wanted to see the twelve panels of the Jersey Tapestry, so we parted company for a few hours. The Tapestry was amazing; the twelve richly coloured tapestries were designed and stitched by the islanders to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Liberation, with each of the 12 parishes submitting a tapestry. They are displayed behind glass and lit from behind, and are very colourful.
