75 Pairs of Ruby Slippers!

A very warm day for mid October which was good as I first watched a wedding of a school friend of my daughter Grace ( she came on holiday with us a couple of times) It was lovely.

Afterwards I went into Bradford with Corinthian Column and airedaleknitter to meet several other blippers and watch what was promoted as 75 Dorothies in the City Park.

Apparently it is 75 years since the film of the Wizard of Oz was launched.

The event itself was a bit of a damp squib and only lasted a few minutes. The Ruby Slippered ladies followed Glynda, the Good Witch, across the centre of the mirror pool and did a little dance.

Here you can see the first little Dorothy arriving looking very sweet; the others show varying 'slippered' feet waiting to perform. This little group actually did their own dance to the familiar music that came on before the main parade.

The best thing this afternoon was meeting up with fellow blippers ValC and her granddaughter; Dot Snaps! and her husband; and kagsy65 and her daughter all of whom I have met before, but also Lovelupins17,
Chrysanthemum and Mindseye who had come all the way from Wigan! Well done to her!

I'm sure if you look at any of the above blips you will get a flavour of our afternoon blipmeet at one point this involved all of us a red balloon and 3 community policemen!

Sorry I couldn't get some of the links to work!q
