A day in the hills

Quite a long day, 8.5 hours trotting around the foot hills of Canterbury.

Beautiful lighting as we descended through the beech forest

I'm finally fed and watered, my boots are clean, my gaiters have been relegated to outside and my pack is resting after a brief swing outside in the evening air.

Just the kitchen to clean up, washing to set away and bit of organising for work tomorrow.

Such a good day, mostly spent up in the clouds and mist. Birds were singing, the native Clematis was glorious and the company good.

The fact we chose the longer of the connecting tracks back from Wharfdale to Coopers Creek is but a minor detail.
