More About Cotton

On October 6th I posted a shot of a cotton field that looked like snow since it had not been harvested. This is the next step. This field has been harvested (by a picking machine), and now the cotton is put into large rolls (about 5' - 6' in diameter) and covered by yellow vinyl sheets to protect it from the rain. The next step will be to move forward in processing long before it becomes a bed sheet or shirt. Thanks for looking. We made a 6 hour round trip on Saturday for a school reunion function and a 6 hour round trip on Sunday for a grandchild's school program at her school. (3 hrs. each way, but I'm still tired after 12 hours in the car in two days. I'll catch up on comments tomorrow after a night of making sure no alarm clock is set for Monday. You might like it in large.
