Fishing Vessel Waiting to Pass Thru The Small Lock

10/19/2014 ~ Fishing Vessel Waiting to Pass Through The Small Lock ~ Hiram M. Chittenden Locks ~ Ballard Neighborhood, Seattle, WA

Walk this afternoon at the Ballard Locks with the weather sunny and in the 70's! There was a nice breeze that cooled it off a bit when out in the open, it was just a very pleasant place to be on a fall afternoon. The flowers in the gardens were mostly taken out but there was still enough color in the trees and the remaining flowers along with the people, boats, and even a few salmon passing through the fish ladder.

Several fishing vessels made there way through the locks this afternoon. Not sure where they were headed, the Puget Sound, out to the Pacific Ocean or perhaps Alaska but there must be a season opening.

With the bright sun with the flare, sun rays and sun bursts I thought it worked best as a monochrome. Hope you like the image.

Anyway a beautiful day!
