HMS Belfast

Our last day in London. We started off visiting HMS Belfast which was amazing to me from a "can we build this kind of ship today" point of view. This photograph was taken just before the clouds descended over the sunshine.

We also intended to go up "The Shard" but had no idea that it would have cost the best part of £100 for the whole family. I remembered going up the Sears Tower in Chicago for a lot less than that and I doubt if the view would have been that much better. So we cut our losses and took the kids to a playpark before catching the plane back to Edinburgh.
