Hardwick Hall

This is the view of Hardwick Hall from the ruins of the old hall. Both halls were lived in by the Bess of Hardwick. The old hall is now roofless and visitors can climb up into it. There are some surviving decorative plasterwork on the walls above the old fire places.

Both Halls are amazing to view and I will be returning for another visit soon enough. The hall is owned by the National Trust and the old hall is managed by English Heritage.
