Tree Fellers

Almost sounds like and the beginning of an irish joke however it isn't. Woke this morning to see many men in hi vis vests walking around the gardens opposite and a couple of trucks with industrial mulchers attached. After an hour or so the unmistakable sound of chainsaws broke the quietness and bits of trees began to fall from the trees. Its a sad day, the beautiful outlook that we have enjoyed for the past nine years that we have lived here is disolving into what will be 54 housing units for the elderly. Where are all the birds going to to go ! Will we ever hear the bellbirds again and where will the birds roost in the evenings. Grrrrr humans..............
