Back to school

I spent this morning in this high school which was very surreal. Through the Careers Academy charity program at work I have volunteered to mentor a S5 pupil for 2 years to help her prepare for the choices which lie ahead and the outside world. I really felt for her, she was rigid with fear so I was pleased to see she was far more relaxed when I left. I actually feel a bit nervous myself as I don't have any experience of teenagers but I guess I must have picked up a few lessons along the way to share. I also met her Mum who, depressingly, looked younger than me!
