Almost 100km for swans!

Today I drove around and tried to find swans - it is the weekend for the competition of Birdlife Finland (http://www.joutsenbongaus.fi) to find swans gathered for migration. Finally after almost 100km of driving around, I got a hint of swans and found some dining on a field.

In the blip there is also some 50 shades of grey. You maybe can count if looking the view in large version.

The shot is also attending the competition on Lovers of light: the winning prize is to travel for few days to Lemmenjoki and spend time living in an igloo made of glass. I have never had possibility to visit that north! It would be a great journey in summertime - or in winter for that matter: just think about sleeping in a transparent igloo under the northern lights in the sky!

The only problem is attending the competition, as we in Finland have mainly grey days in early winter, and already quite a short light time, so I blipped the lightest moment of the day again today... With thick clouds in the sky: I am not giving up type of a person!

Today +10c, sunset at 16.38
