Autumn in Jesmond Dene

I spent a happy hour in Jesmond Dene this morning. It's a peaceful vale only about 2 miles from Newcastle city centre. Choosing my blip was tricky (so I've put some more on Flickr here) but I decided on this shot of the waterfall in the end.

I took a slight risk of getting wet to capture the shot - I had to scramble down the bank and place the tripod with one foot in the water (better it's foot than my foot!). I think it was worth it :)

Certainly best viewed large.
