Victorian Market, in Inverness. Near deserted, early this morning.

Various places flooded this morning, after a lot of heavy rain last night. River Ness was even higher, and faster flowing, than yesterday. Distinct brown colouring from silt and other stuff being swept downstream. No doubt a fair amount of it settling in the recently dredged harbour. The workers doing the flood alleviation construction works, were all on the non-river side of their wall, for obvious safety reasons.

Repaired a key cutting machine at work. It was blowing fuses before I looked at it, and was bought secondhand from somewhere. Previous owner(s) would appear to have interfered with it's wiring, for some reason. It was in no way safe. Rewired and properly earthed the dodgy bits, and gave it a good cleaning out. Should do a good few more years now.

Was glad to have used the car today - avoiding the rain this morning, and cold tonight. Shifted some heavy and large shopping items. Should be back on the bike tomorrow... with more layers.
