Old Market Square

This watering hole is located in our Market Square just two blocks from the centre of town. The Square was renamed Victoria Square after that English Queen when her statue was erected there in 1903.

My great grandfather ran a livery stable across the road from here and he would take his horses over for water. In the linked photo you can see his horses and traps lined up ready to take passengers.

My grandad later upgraded the business (as featured in an earlier Blip) with the advent of the motor car.
