Straw Men

Three little men of straw are we,
Standing here to add some glee
To Christmas scenes that now abound,
Too early by far to be around.

You've guessed, a trip to the Land of Flowers to be sickened by the early Christmas commercialisation..........good scones though, to look at - heaven forbid that any morsel should cross my lips after that last weekend of feasting.

Every year at this point, I contemplate cancelling Christmas, but in the end I usually capitulate. How wonderful it would be to stick to my guns.
