The Shaggy Inkcap Family - Day 4

It's the end for Father and Mother who are both sick to the gills. Black, sticky gloop oozes from their every pore carrying the spores of the next generation into the earth. Their bodies have shrunk to a quarter of the former size and lost their life force.

The gloop was visibly dripping as I took this and I don't expect much to be left by tomorrow.

Although not strictly within the definition of 'dereliction', Herself suggested: "Just say it's a derelict fairy house", so I will. This is a derelict fairy house and is my entry for this weeek's Derelict Thursday .
