They exist!!

5years 9days

Today fellow blipper H proved after 4 years of friendship that she is in fact not just this magical pixie who creates amazing baby carriers from behind a computer, but is in fact an actual real-life human with adorable girls. Who Katie thinks are brilliant. Now they are honourary Northerners, we managed to finally meet up with them and had a great day at Eureka. The kids behaved really well and all seemed to really enjoy the museum. Picnic time was a huge hit and I got to spend some time getting to know the girls, both of whom repeatedly made me chuckle today. Amy does an excellent "Bohemian Rhapsody". Clauds came out with some crackers in an effort to embarrass her mother. The exhibits were all fab but the girls all adored the "All About Me" one. Katie spent ages "scanning" a pretend pregnant lady which produced an actual ultrasound video. And the pretend "baby" in her womb then began to move in a very lifelike fashion! The day passed very very quickly and was great fun. I really do hope we can do it again soon!

Katie and I made a stop at Ikea on the way home in a bid to escape some of the rush hour traffic for a while. As it happened it probably paid off as we discovered on rejoining the motorway that the next 3 junctions had been at a standstill while we were off it and were only just reopened. Our 90minute journey took us 3hours 20minutes in all! Worth it though, very excellent day!!
